We have suffered the loss of one of our cherished family members. Her battle with cancer has come to a peaceful end as she passed away yesterday. I ask that we come together and support the family. We have always said that the Montclair Family attitude is love and now is the time to shine this to all we know. If we support each other with love then I am confident we will grow stronger as a family.
As a way to support the school in this time of sadness, the Clay County Crisis Team was on our campus today. This team is comprised of School Social Workers, School Psychologist, and School Counselors across the county who volunteer their time to help out in times such as these. Their role today was to provide our students with a safe place to share their feelings of sadness, love, and support. In addition, the students were allowed to make cards for the grieving family. If you feel that your student needs additional support, please notify the School Counselor, Ms. Clark, and or contact your insurance for a list of eligible mental health providers.
With a saddened heart,
